2017 PBL Project
day of the dead chair
This chair was made to appreciate Hispanic culture, specifically el Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead). El Día de los Muertos is a Mexican tradition that is celebrated throughout the Americas and Mexico. It is a three day celebration created to honor loved ones who have passed away. We made this chair in order to represent el Día de los Muertos at our school. We originally came up with the idea for this chair on Halloween, since that is when the celebration starts. Some of the most integral parts of the chair are things that represent el Día de los Muertos, like flowers, butterflies, and candles. All of the combined elements create a unique piece that celebrates Hispanic culture.
The chair was later sold for $250.
